Book Covering

Opening Minds cover schoolbooks in a clear durable plastic cover. Every book is covered individually by hand and each cover is sized to suit the individual book.
Our Irish made bookcovering is strong and durable, it is designed to protect against spills, wear and tear and will extend the life of book.
Avail of our special online price on €1.10 per book when you order your schoolbooks online.
Covering options and the enviroment
We are in discussion with our covering materials supplier to reduce our use of plastic and increase the use of eco friendly products. We have sourced A4 paper covers and copy covers in paper, both sustainably produced in Ireland. We supply brown paper rolls which may be used to cover schoolbooks.
We make every possible effort to source second hand school books, while recognising that the rapidly changing Junior Cycle specifications may mean that second hand books may not yet be available
Our bags and boxes are recyclable.
We welcome suggestions to aid the transition to a more sustainable future.

Delivery rates to Ireland are as follows:

When you order online and select to have your order delivered it will be dispatched by Fastway on a next day service Monday - Friday. Our normal turnaround on orders is 3 - 5 days ( 8 - 12 days in July / August) and you will receive an email confirming your goods have left the Opening Minds warehouse and have been collected by Fastway.
Parcel Motel
You may opt to have your order delivered using Parcel Motel, you do not have to have a Parcel Motel account to avail of this service.
At checkout you simply select the Parcel Motel location most convenient to you.

Parcel Motel will send you a text with your unique secure PIN number when your order arrives at your selected Parcel Motel.

Second-Hand Books

Opening Minds have sold both new and second-hand schoolbooks since we were established in 1986.
We stock secondhand books in-store and online. Our online stock is quality controlled prior to dispatch and we believe that you will be happy with the quality of book, however if you feel the book does not meet your requirements we will be happy to accept it for refund.
Opening Minds takes in second-hand schoolbooks from the first week in June each year. We accept current edition, good quality textbooks at any of our branches or our warehouse in Ashbourne.
Secure Payment

Opening Minds accepts payment by Visa, Master Card, Visa Debit and Laser Cards.
openingminds.ie payments are processed by Realex. Realex is an Irish company specialising in providing a secure payments systems to Irish and International companies.
All information when in transit via the Internet is encrypted (128bit SSL) to ensure confidentiality of sensitive data
